December 5, 2014 – Swim Team Spreads Holiday Cheer!

Delbarton High School (Morristown, NJ) Boys Swim Team recently visited PPI managed Valley Brook Village for Veterans in Basking Ridge, NJ.

“They put smiles on the faces of those veterans who now call Valley Brook Village home.”

– Carrie Radice, Property Manager

“From my perspective, I think the team members benefited just as much as the veterans they were there to see. It was a perfect way for them to say thank you to those who serve and help to provide the opportunities that they enjoy every day.”

– Susan Gustin, Creative Director/PR

“I had the pleasure to meet Dolores, one of the 3 ladies living at the Valley Brook Village. We talked about her 3 kids and grandchildren. One of the things she told me, which made me laugh, was that she was so happy to see these young men coming to sing and spend time with them which it was a little change of what she is used to seeing at the VA.”

– Elena Rice (swim team mom)

“My experience with the veterans was something that I will never forget. Not only did I gain a better perspective on the lives which the veterans of our country have lived, but also an appreciation for everything that they have done for us. I heard tales of their friends dying in order for us to have the luxuries and peace of mind we possess. Although you may have heard stories similar to what I heard, hearing it from the people witnessing these unfortunate events, is something completely different. Seeing their eyes brighten when we spoke to them was something that I will never forget and in all honesty something so trivial compared with what they have done for our country and ourselves.”

– Jade Rice (class of 2016)
